The Farm
An oasis in the desert

Driving down the 'leba' on the way to the farm

Giraul is a remote farm near the Atlantic border in Southwest Angola that is watered by the Giraul River. The farm is owned by the church in Lubango and has the potential of employing workers and supplying produce to both Namibe and Lubango.

"If it can get water...it will grow here."

The farm can grow many crops as the growing season is long and water is available.  However there is a need for irrigation pumps to bring water where is needed.

Like kids everywhere, they play with what they have.

The farm has the potential of providing work to local Angolans, raising the quality of life for families in the Giraul region. Children could learn to read and the people who live in the area could hear the gospel in their language.  There is a great need for a resident missionary at Giraul to take up the work here. All in a days' work!

Without leadership and husbandry of the existing farm at Giraul, the local people will grow what they can and raise their families without benefit of health care or schooling. What an opportunity exists for someone to pick up the work here at the farm and make a real difference.
